How useful are you?

Imagine a huge,bustling crowd.
Now think of yourself as a harried, busy office worker with a hectic schedule, moving towards
office with no time to waste, moving with a quick pace through the crowd.
You're carrying files of papers essential for today's presentation and whatnot.
Suddenly,a guy bumps into you.
You drop the files and the papers start flying kind of like a dog being unleashed and let out.
You're frustrated, even grumbling under your breath at that guy,who didn't even turn
to look back at the mess he just made.
So there you are, grabbing all those papers and stuffing them back into the files when
You get help from another person.
At that moment, you'd almost believe that the person was God-sent,wouldn't you?
You're thankful for the help, from the bottom of your heart, and blesses the angel.

Now,what I'm coming around to is that helping people out when they really need help
is something that we need to have built into our minds. You might never know
when they might be useful to you,or that someone else will help you in your
hour of need like you did for someone else.
I'm not talking about giving up your entire life up for charity and causes,
Although there's nothing wrong with that (unless you have a family to fend for
and they're suffering from your lack of support to them),I'd suggest
you keep the helpfulness to a limit,or you'd lose track.
My words have only so much influence before you forget them.
But if you do remember them the next time you see someone
who needs help,ask yourself this:

Am I the unhelpful guy who creates a mess for other people,
or am I the person who's going to help people when they need it?

D.

(I believe that today's society is forgetting the values of helping people (in dire need) out, and
instead focus on materialistic gains for oneself.
But I suppose the world's always been like this.)

...You deserve it.

  1. Pertinent question at the end.
Random acts of kindness, is all it takes. But do we have the time, or the inclination?
I guess, it is because though built in, it is hardly discovered, and used.
