Being Real, and how good it can feel.

In a world of endless opportunities and ideas, how do you truly convey the real you to others?
How do you teach them the real part of you,the diamond in the rough? That you're not as mean and nasty as they think you are,but instead,a gung-ho type?
Do you paint,or dance? Some artistic form developing throughout the history of mankind?
Or do you blog about it,like I do?
Or maybe post vlogs?
Perhaps, maybe even depict those little ideas in forms of pictures or videos - maybe even short films,no matter how horrible they are?
Or do you live a fake life, full of lies, showing people the way they want you to be,and not the real you?
Well,I'd have to say,if you don't really express yourself, you're just living a life of a nobody.
A nobody,as in the fact that you never really tried to be creative.
A caged bird,a butterfly stuck in a lonely,dark room.
A chained pet.
Maybe you don't express yourself because you're afraid of what people might think of you,or maybe you had a troubled childhood.Or maybe, just maybe, you're a part of a system where everyone is alive but not really "Alive".
Whatever be the case,no matter how hard the going get's tough,it's up to you to define yourself and show the world the real you.I personally insist on it.
Because there's no one I'd rather be than me.

(The video linked in the last video is from the movie "Wreck-it-Ralph",a personal favorite of mine.
And now, without further ado, here's the song - One Republic - Stop and Stare.)

  1. Because there's no one I'd rather be than me. That says it all.
Your clarity of thought is rather exceptional, and honest. :)

More resonance. I've played this song on loop on a one and half hour journey from my parents' to my home driving with my kids (the four legged variety :D). My nephew, and awesome guitarist and singer, introduced me to it a couple of years ago, and it's a firm favourite.

I Like. :) The little pic, next to it too... even though I might go ooooh and aaah... I have this niggling doubt. :P

  3. I'm not too sure on the updates part, but I'll try to make sure it mails out correctly every time.
I dwell upon thoughts a bit too much, and putting them into writing or blogging them helps me clear out the cache stored in my mind..and restart the cycle all over again :P

And what exactly is the doubt? I didn't get that part.

    1. The doubt? The same... as expressed in the picture :)
